Not sure if this is a me issue, but I've tried to subscribe from itjust.works and haven't been able to.

Was this an active choice by the mod team?

I have not personally made those choices, but I'll let the other mods speak up if they have. I would guess this is ongoing teething issues with Lemmy. I can assure you though we are all hard at work sorting through these issues as you can see in this actual footage from Lemmy HQ.
