Look up the "beer hall putsch", the fact that its leader wasn't sufficiently punished and then see what he went on to do several years later.

Just completely insane that we don't learn from history. Humans just can't comprehend that they are actively within the evil as it simmers and boils over.

We're here right now. We're the broken people that the future will look back on.
