Good. It would have probably been dog shit. I feel sorry for the old employees that are still there, but I hope that company collapses and fades away into obscurity.
What's the story behind the company? I tried playing the game a while back but didn't get through it for one reason or another. I have recently reinstalled it, was going to try it again.
It's really complicated, but basically the original creative team behind Disco Elysium started seeing strange things happening at the ZA/UM (the company that produced the game), starting with their demotion. When they looked into what was happening, they were fired. ZA/UM then moved some illegitimate money around in the background and used money from ZA/UM to buy ZA/UM, kinda like buying a house using the equity from the house. If that doesn't make sense, don't worry, it's not supposed to. What they did is cut the original devs off from the revenue and also stole the IP they created while paying them nothing, and it's all very fraudulent and bad. To top it all off, one of the three original creators seems to have stabbed the other two in the back and sided with the Investors for a payday, and in doing so sunk the case against the investors, and left the other two creators hung out to dry. All in all, if DE2 ever happens, it likely won't involve any of the original creatives and will just be a cash grab to milk the franchise based on the strength of the first game.
That’s what happens when communists run a company: They’re no better than a corporation.
Kind of an apt analogy actually if you compare it to a south American country voting in a socialist party and then immediately getting couped by the CIA.
The original devs create the whole thing and make it into a good game and then some business interests show up and steal the company with the company's own money and kick the original devs out while also stealing the IP made by the devs since childhood.
Company: is run into the ground after hostile takeover by capitalists
You: that's what happens when communists run a company
Dear sir or madam, I'd like to hand you the award for the smoothest brain take of the day: 💩
Thank you!🥰

If the socialists ran the company we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with
