Serious question. Has there ever been a lawsuit, like individual or tort, that has gone after companies for this behavior? If so, what countries?
There's this. Apple won the suit in March 2023.
I tried to look up an article about the results, but God damn Apple has so, so many lawsuits
Both of them? Damn...
I can’t think of a major suit regarding this, but I would imagine thats half the reason decisions like this get made. I can easily see the people making this decision asking the legal department the same question, and the lack of an easily identifiable loss solidifying the choice.
