I think the Kings are really exciting, but historically I haven't really watched the Kings play (which has gotten worse as Ive had less time to watch basketball the last few years). The only real time I watched them this year was during the playoffs where I thought Sabonis was quite submissive? Lacked confidence almost? And didn't really look to assert himself.
What is the general consensus on him?
During the regular season he was an absolute beast down in the post and played off of Fox really well. Consistent scorer, passer and rebounder. But the playoff series against the Warriors really exposed some of his weaknesses, mainly the outside shot and ability to finish over shot blockers. I'm sure he and the team will make adjustments in the off season so we'll see how it goes. Oh also he played most of last season with a fractured ligament in his hand so that probably didn't do him any favors.
Thanks for the quick summary.
I really should make it a point to watch some Kings games this year (I'm, a Lakers fan, so I'll call it scouting haha)
