Let's defeat the 90/9/1-rule!
What is this rule? I've never heard of it.
On any given social media site, 90% of people only lurk, 9% of people comment on content, and 1% of people post the actual content.
Wow. I can see how easy it is to assume "the norm" is what is that based on the twitter or reddit feeds when in reality that's just 1% of people who bothered to speak up. I wonder if there's a way to measure the same statistics on lemmy?
it's a rule that says on average, 90% of users lurk, 9% edit/moderate/comment content, and 1% make the content. hopefully we can be better here than on Reddit which seems to be more like a 90/9.9/.1 kinda thing
