I think I built up Nashville style hot chicken from Nashville too much in my head. I was disappointed with Hattie B's not because it was bad, but because it wasn't significantly better than what I get in Texas. That said, not a bad deal since it's still damn good and means I can get something very comparable close to home.
Don’t go to Hattie B’s for the OG. Hattie B’s is honestly a sort of white washed version of the Nashville originals that were around for 40+ years. Would recommend Bolton’s next time. Prince’s is pretty good, but not the same after the original storefront burned down right around COVID
