I'm curious as to what beliefs one can have about magic at all (other than "it's not real") that are any less insane than this. Please do enlighten me.
Generally Wiccans believe that magic is a force of nature that science just hasn't explained yet. Its a way of nudging the forces of nature in a desired direction often in conjunction with the forces of diety. Its not like magic from Harry Potter. We do not for example believe we can fly or get out of debts with magic words written on letters.
At the end of the day Wiccans aren't any crazier than any other religion. If you're an atheist you'll find us just as "crazy" as any other theist. If you believe in a diety then our beliefs are different but no crazier than yours.
Not understanding our religion and then choosing to compare us to someone who is likely mentally ill is just asshole behavior. If you don't understand Wicca why bring us up at all except to be outright disrespectful?
Such a high bar you have set...
Can confirm, I think you're just as crazy as other theists.
