And here we are. The show hasn't even premiered and getting word of possible massive fucking changes to the story. Which in and of itself isn't a horrible thing. A new take isn't the end of the world if it's a good one.
But I don't trust Netflix to do that. At all. Look at their 'fresh take' on Deathnote. It was like they hated the source. Misa was basically the real Kira. Light pretty much confessed as soon as he met L. RYUK WAS A VILLAIN
It should be illegal to change beloved stories in adaptations. It makes me want to punch people.
It can work. Every single version of Hitchhikers was different.
