Complete newbie question, I only own the 'indoor' scales. How does this work differently than, say HO scale trains? What's stopping the rails from shorting due to rain or what is stopping corrosion from the outdoor environment? I do love the idea of a garden railway.

The equipment is built more enclosed, like no visible gears electronics etc. They can be brought outside for running them, but should not be kept outside permanently. After that session I had to bring them in and let them dry.

The tracks can be left outside. They are made from messing so withstand corrosion ok (but have to be cleaned after some time)
