As an indicator at night, low work quite well for me. With the latest firmware it is possible to use the aux LEDs to blink out numbers (like battery voltage). It is also possible to use the aux LEDs as a separate channel in all modes. With these features the high aux brightness isn't that bad anymore.
Yes I have installed the new multi-channel branch on all my TS10s. I suppose if you want to use the aux as a channel then you could prefer it to be brighter.
For myself, my aux leds are in high mode when in standby, and go to low mode when auto-lockout kicks in.
I dont understand.. i can use aux as secondary channel now? Does that mean I can ramp the aux brightness and use candle mode and sleep timer? That would be super cool.
Yes and no. While you can use the aux in all the strobes with the latest firmware, there are still only 2 brightness levels (a hardware limitation), and not all of them work like you would expect.
