Ooops.
I should have clicked the link, I didn't realize you posted this too lol
For whatever reason that's not loading on my browser. Is that the dragon quest/pokemon thing? The pokemon-iest game played is Ni No Kuni 1 (I've sunk about an hour into pokemon black, it wasn't for me so I don't think that counts) so I'm just curious about all this from a distance I guess.
Yeah it's the same image. https://feddit.nl/comment/6335505
I posted the link first, but didn't bother to embed the image itself.
The point is that Dragon Quest came out 10 years prior... and it's literally the same thing that people are claiming today palworld to be doing... If Game Freak/Nintendo has a claim... Then Dragon quest has a claim to squash Nintendo. Nintendo will not win a lawsuit here unless they can prove that the models were specifically ripped from one of their games... And "similar" probably won't cut it.
Turns out that if you say "draw me a cute fire fox [Vulpix vs foxspark]" Lots of people will come up with very similar designs. It's just the nature of how we see the world around us. Foxes are a real item... make it a little chibi-like... throw flames in the 2-3 spots it makes sense. Well fuck! They're the damn same!
