Gus: New game.

(Gus extends his arms out to each side, with blue magic circles around each hand. All the people around him now look identical to Hunter with puffs of blue magical smoke around them)

Gus: "Everyone is Hunter now!"

(Instead of multiple Coven Scouts surrounding Hunter, there are now multiple "Hunters" surrounding Hunter. They all look at each other in confusion)

(The Hunter who was being grabbed, who is presumably the real one, punches another "Hunter" in the face)

(One "Hunter" swings his fist angrily and hits another "Hunter" in the face. A third "Hunter" is ducking out of the way, while a fourth is looking at them wide-eyed and yelling)

"Hunter": Hey, wrong guy!

(One "Hunter" hits another with an uppercut punch)

(One "Hunter" is holding another in place by locking his arms around the others, while a third "Hunter" prepares to hit him. Beside them, a fourth "Hunter" is swinging his fist angrily towards another one who is cowering out of the way)

"Hunter": I'm on your side!

"Hunter": Wait, wait, I'm not-

(The mysterious stranger is standing still with an annoyed expression on his face. In the background, three "Hunters" are pointing at each other recreating the "Spider-Man Pointing" meme)

Stranger: [SIGH] I should've stayed home.

"Hunter": He's the real one!

"Hunter": No, he is!

(One "Hunter" is pointing at another one, who is alone and running away out of the alley)

"Hunter": That one is escaping!

"Hunter": That's the one!

"Hunter": Get him!

Hunter: Wait...

(From over Hunter's shoulder, we can see a dozen "Hunters" running and converging on one spot)

Hunter: Gus.

Panel 4

(The "Hunter" that is running away is almost out of the alley. Several others are right behind him and grabbing him. He looks back and has a magic blue circle around his finger)

(With a puff of blue smoke, the illusions are dispelled and we see a close-up of Gus being grabbed by multiple Coven Scouts)

(The mysterious stranger is yelling angrily at Hunter, who is pulling himself up with Waffles in its staff form. Hunter is grabbing at his chest in pain)

Stranger: We have to go!

Hunter: Argh!

            Not without Gus!

Panel 2

(Close-up on the stranger's midsection as he pulls out a portion of a staff from behind him. The stick is broken, but the head of the staff is clearly recognizable as identical to the one Hunter used to carry as the Golden Guard. It has no Palisman, but a red jewel embedded in a white and gold housing)

Stranger: Read the situation, kid.

Panel 3

(The stranger is wrapping his arm around Hunter with an intense look on his face, while his other hand holds out the broken staff. Hunter is struggling against him)

Hunter: Hey what are you-

Stranger: You better hope this thing won't just disintegrate us.

Panel 4

(Close-up on just the stranger's hand and the very recognizable top of the staff he is holding)

Stranger (off-panel): I haven't used it for decades.

Panel 5

(Close-up on Hunter's face, eyes wide with shock)

Stranger (wryly): Why are you even surprised at this point.

Hunter: Wait!

(In the alleyway, the stranger and Hunter are now just a white outline with blurred red edges)

(The outline is disappearing into smaller blurs of white and red magic)

(Several Coven Scouts are looking up at the sky, where a streak of red magic is flying away like a comet)

Coven Scout: Oh, no.

Coven Scout: This is bad. The Emperor is gonna kill us.
