[Done] New try at upgrading to 0.18.1 July 1st 20:00 CET (self.lemmyworld)

We'll give the upgrade new try tomorrow. I've had some good input from admins of other instances, which are also gonna help troubleshoot during/after the upgrade.

Also there are newer RC versions with fixed issues.

Be aware that might we need to rollback again, posts posted between the upgrade and the rollback will be lost.

We see a huge rise in new user signups (duh.. it's July 1st) which also stresses the server. Let's hope the improvements in 0.18.1 will also help with that.

Me too, this is my first comment! I had made the account recently but not had a chance to check things out until now :-)

I'm using "Connect for Lemmy" at the moment, I can't say how it compares to Jerboa as it doesn't work currently.

Certainly a more clunky experience than Boost (took me a minute to work out how to subscribe to a community for example, I just want the Boost or Bsconreader or Relay UI, haha....), but it's early days, and these developers and server hosts are doing a wonderful, wonderful thing! ❤️

Boost is going to be making an app for Lemmy, it's already in the play store but it says it'll download once it becomes available.
