it’s a stupid little app that lets console players record 30 clips to share with others. https://www.postparty.gg
when you enable it for your account, you can hit a button to send a clip of your last shot to post party, and within about a minute that clip is available on your phone ready to share. neat concept, poor execution.
I have a console but mostly play on steam on windows. I was curious to check it out so I did, but never really used it much. days and updates went by and periodically I would have this problem where I only get about a minute out of a game before it would crash, causing me to ff by losing connection, every game. I assumed this was linked to my video card drivers, since I run an intel arc graphics card. some graphics card updates would run pretty smoothly, except for this moment where, without me pressing any button, i get “clipping is not available” and my framerate drops to 10 for a few seconds, but the game would continue. the next driver update would crash after about a minute of gameplay.
While in the game (main menu) I remembered the “clipping is not available” message from before and disabled postparty (done via the post party app). immediately, the problem went away and my game hasn’t crashed since.
Oh gotcha. Everyone I know generally uses Medal or GifYourGame to clip Rocket League. Never seen PostParty used before, even if it has built-in support.
how do those work on console? or are they steam-only?
PC only
Yeah, I think postparty is the only option for console gamers. Maybe they will release a fix where it only enables post party for console play.
