I've done music as a passive hobby for a long while. I've been in a couple bands with friends, nothing much has ever come out of it and most of what I've tried to make isn't fit for human consumption most of the time. I'll get flashes of having to write something, then reread it the next day and just be like "Wow... This, is garbage." and I've relistened to songs I made a ways back and I just cringe at how bad they are. But it's still a fun outlet. I still like to try to create. I still like to goof around.
I think it's really cool that you create for the fun of it. Way too many people take life way too seriously (myself included sometimes).
