None of the mobile apps I saw advertise for the average Joe with little to no technical expertise. They need to do better marketing IMO. I am currently using Jerboa, and the experience is pretty much decent, but there are bugs.
You just have to download them and sign in. It’s not anything complicated. The big issue is most of these are currently in beta (at least for iOS), but Memmy is really nice and similar to Apollo. Same general aesthetic and functionality. It’s also not been a lot of time. It took a couple of months for the marketing of Mastodon apps to really catch up to the needs of the general public.
