I guess that's what I'm getting at. What are the odds of 6 attacking players having a goal drought at the same time, and what are the odds that overspending on a 7th won't just have the same outcome?

Some players are more consistent at some things than others. The players we have now, while not necessarily bad finishers, are not consistent and it leads to runs like what we're seeing now and the end of last season.

I think a lot of the frustration comes specifically from Jesus' clearly flawed finishing. Jesus provides a lot of fantastic things that allow us to dominate and create chances, but it seems to me that sometimes we could use an alternative that would rely more on others to create chances, but would be more likely to score if the chances still came. I hope that makes sense, I don't think I explained very well.
