Fun fact. There is a theory that the lost city of Akkad was originally pronounced "Aghdad" (Baghdad without the 'B'). After the Persians took over it took it got renamed Baghdad which means "God has given" in Persian. So it's possible Baghdad actually sits in top of the ancient city.
