Carts go in the store, placing them in a cart return does nothing because an employee still had to go fetch them. If you actually cared you would walk the cart back into the store.
It’s okay. The store is happy to provide that service. The social contract part is about protecting everyone’s cars from rogue wind-sped carts
Yea I don't care about cars, besides scuffed paint is just superficial it doesn't affect the cars ability to provide transportation
Replace car with anything you own and ask yourself if you would like strangers to treat your belongings that way.
I dont give a shit about my car, it has plenty of dings scratches from carts and a piece of pvc that flew off a truck on the freeway, still does its job!
The car’s paint job is a status symbol. It represents a person’s having maintained control of their own shit for sufficient time to afford a shiny car. It’s artistic expression too, like clothing.
