Holy shit - has anyone seen Leno's push on the ballboy in their game against Bournemouth?? Always thought this guy was class but things keep coming out that really change my mind.

Just watched it based on your comment. Not a good moment for Bernd for sure. He's very lucky he didn't get sent off for that, especially as he was already in a yellow for telling the ref to go fuck himself.

Credit to him for going over later and apologizing to the ball boy, and acknowledging he made a mistake to the crowd and cameras. Though I can't help wondering if that was mostly due to him getting worried he could face prosecution for assault of a child. It wasn't a hard push, but it was on a minor, and arguably unprovoked. So I could see them going after him for it.

Very lucky not to be sent off.

The commentary on the clip I watched was forgiving him too, saying the ball boy should have thrown to ball to him. It's irrelevant imo - the kid is a kid, and probably getting encouraged by the Bournemouth fans to slow the play. Bernd is a grown ass man and can keep his hands off the kid.

The video I saw brought up a good point about the ball boy's actions. It pointed out that while Bernd was demanding the ball, the ball boy was watching the crowd to make sure the other ball didn't end up getting back on the pitch too.
