From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

BSD might be an option. But this post is basically meant to ask the following question:

Windows or Mac, which OS do you dislike less?

For me, it's Windows. Microsoft is shit, but at least there's some flexibility in terms of how I can use my system and what hardware I can use it on.

Another poster mentioned yabai, but I'd bring up Amethyst as well. The install process is virtually nonexistent, just use homebrew, or drag and drop like any other mac app. It has a whole bunch of tiling modes, but I always just leave put it on Tall (DWM-like) and leave it there.
