I installed some blumats last week, that's what the black tubing is for. I'm pretty excited to run them for a whole cycle. Those things are heckin' miraculous, tell ya what. I wish I would have started using them sooner.

I just sent it lmfao I was planning on being careful but was away for a couple days and the pollen dropped while I was gone, so when I got back I was like fuck it. Me and the ol lady are the only people that smoke this, and I have decent supply already, so if it's hella seedy it's not like I'm fucked for another 4 months. I'll just deal with it. I'm hoping I'll even get some different phenos, it looks like this strain is pretty unstable with decent variation between plants, I should be able to find something cool.

If you have a bowl trimmer or know someone who does a good use for them that I've heard of is dislodging seeds from pods without messing them up during dry trimming. Supposedly one or more of the dispensaries near me use the seedy weed for the discount sales and the machines knock out enough of the seeds that most people don't find any.

You'll have to put up with bowl trimmed bud if that matters to you but it should have significantly fewer seeds left in it down the line. Supposedly. YMMV.

I literally just bought a bowl trimmer, so that's tight. My trim jobs are pretty "not good" as is (my hands shake and I got the arthritis) so I think the bowl might actually be a step up 😂

Ah shit my favorite method myself haha.

If it’s your own weed, what’s a little lost THC, just smoke some more.

I haven’t done any breeding yet myself, but correct if I’m wrong, these would be more prone to stress herming yeah? I just ask since you mentioned seeds from stress before, weaker genetics tend to go off from minor stresses I’ve seen. Think like a street light being enough light to herm it, a stable genetic line shouldn’t herm unless they are in a very specific situation, like right above the plant.

These ones shouldn't be any more prone to stress hermaphroditism than any other plant, and indeed I've actually tried to seed this strain by inducing light stress and failed. That's why I used the STS this time.

The seeds I made with that method were Aghani from a seed bank who's name im not going to use here, they don't need the attention. Those were terrible and they made shitty weed.

I may have miscommunicated, "unstable" probably wasn't the right word, but I just meant these have more phenotypical variation than some of the more inbred lines. The weed is phenomenal though pretty much across all phenos I've seen, and I've grown/smoked a LOT of these Black Widows. It's my favorite strain.

When I did induce light stress for hermaphroditism on those Afghans though I turned on my light for like 15 minutes in the dark period, waaaay more than a streetlight.
