The laws on false advertising and such straight up only protect reasonable people. If you make a claim that a reasonable person wouldn't believe, and someone unreasonable does believe it, have you even committed a crime? ๐ค
Like psychics exist. But they peddle bullshit. Why is that legal?
Completely agree. I think it's based on provability though. You can't prove that a psychic is lying unless you have an admission of guilt from them. Same with people who cast 'spells' or who go up on stage preaching this incredibly dangerous "law of attraction" garbage. They're all utter bullshit but none of them are provably bullshit.
