(The "Windows" slices of the pies are entirely made up by Baldur's Gate 3, which also runs well over Linux)

It's not much of a problem with BG3, more like a problem with Discord being absolute stinky festering garbage and not playing nice with my window manager at the time (Sway).

If you don't need push to talk, I'd suggest using the browser version instead of the app.

I've tried several combinations of versions and sources (at least 5), but there's always something missing.

I haven't used discord on sway yet, but from some reading around as i will likely be upgrading pcs and switching to sway (wayland) from i3 (xorg), i think it is discord doesn't play nice with wayland.

That's correct, on X11 Discord works... relatively fine, ot least that used to be the case for me.

More precisely, Discord uses an ancient version of Electron which doesn't support most of Wayland's shenanigans.
