content producers and studios are failing to understand how this works, this is not just "thier" system and "thier" content to do with as they please.

the move to streaming was to quell piracy under the functioning theory that you reduce it when you make the content accessible. Over the last few years many studios have been playing games with content accessibility again in the name of profit.

The only outcome of this game is the same as last time, when consumers feel they are getting a raw deal on content they will change providers or start pirating your content, sometimes both at once.

Rate hikes are creating ever more one-sided thinking because a business can't possibly not grow every year.
