By weird I mean outside of regular cat diet, things like cornflakes, ketchup or banana bread (these are real examples from my and my friends' cats).

My oldest cat eats anything you leave on the table, except citrus and after that he cleans the stove by licking it. He has a nutrient absorbtion problem, so he just barely keeps above minimum weight.

My former oldest, now deceased cat really liked black olives and would also eat green ones.

Yes and yes. I also use a hefty amount of chili sauces.

I try not to leave anything for them to scavenge, but they still manage to find something.

btw. I have a theory that cats are immune to capsaicin.
