This is the DNR's take on this question:

Rain, clouds for days, short daylight hours ... very little sunlight. WHY is this volcanic region NOT making more use of geothermal energy?

We're need more than interest! I think I heard that the State got some carbon-tax revenue. Heel-dragging much, Washington?
