Yeah, I understood your position completely, and it's definitely a P1 bug.
I see myself as top mod of most of the subs I mod.
Here's me trying to transfer [email protected]:

Notice that the moderator's user ids are ordered - I think it's just making the earliest registered (i.e. lowest id) account the top mod... @yay
Experimenting in !modcoord shows that I cannot de-mod anyone with a lower user id, but I can de-mod e.g. @[email protected] who I assume is the original owner.
I'm guessing the intended behaviour is that you shouldn't be able to edit a mod who's been mod longer than you, but they're sorting/checking the wrong thing.
@[email protected] This instance appears to be ordering mods by user_id, not by date_granted_mod (or whatever).
I've just tested on ds9.lemmy.ml and it's not happening there so it might be just a here thing. I need to do paid work now, so I can't test on any live communities to confirm that it is only here.
