Went down with a mysterious cough on Tuesday night. Seemed like just a bad cold Wednesday, got worse and added dizziness to the mix Thursday, now today the dizziness is gone (hooray) but whatever I've got has changed tack and is trying out severe nausea on me instead (booo).

Was supposed to be out tomorrow with a friend I've not seen since August. Not impressed.

So while I spend the next few days swooning around the house complaining about it like an actual child, I'd love to hear some happy things to focus on instead!

Weekend plans, amusing anecdotes, promises to avenge me should I not make it through, jokes at my expense, all equally welcome. For the love of god just distract me ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Aw thanks for checking in on me! Feeling much better today, thankfully.

It did turn out to be Covid, but didn't test positive until yesterday which was like 4.5 days after I started feeling rough. Apparently the random cycle of different main symptoms every day is something a lot of other people have with it too, but I had no idea until it happened to me.

First time I've had it, been really careful but my luck was bound to run out eventually. So much for the streak!

Anyway lots of last week including apparently making this post seems like a weird barely-remembered dream. But I slept for most of the weekend and we're into "this just seems like a particularly bad cold" territory as of this morning, so all good.

Oh, I'm really glad you're doing okay! Don't push yourself to do too much too soon - that might contribute to long covid to some degree. I hope you're doing recovered soon :)

Yeah I'm friends with a couple of nurses and they've both advised to basically rest, rest and rest some more and then when I feel like I'm truly fine and am milking it and should be ashamed of myself...rest a couple days more because better safe than sorry.

So tbh I'm gonna trust the professionals on that. Not messing around with this stuff, it really has hit me hard.

On the bright side my tea tastes a lot more normal today. It's been a struggle, with weird tasting tea ๐Ÿ˜ญ
