There is actually a version of the Bible that's translated into today's vocabulary.
Do you mean MEV? I've also heard about some controversial comic version of it: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book_of_Genesis_(comics) I'm yet to see. But they both aren't at the same wavelenght as this facebook-like anecdote.
