How to keep nails from getting detached from the nailbed (self.judo)

I cut them short. I also tried putting tape on my fingertips but it comes off within 5-10 minutes. Is there anything else I could try, maybe a different way of taping? Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

This is deeply unsettling as someone who knows nothing from judo.

Even if you cut them super short, they still get caught on the collar when you're pulling it and whatnot?

You say you know nothing but you know about pulling the gi 🤔

And it's not the entire nail, just a small portion
