I skate on asphalt with Labeda Asphalt (orange) and they wear down so fast after a single skate that both sides are down about half the size. I do skate on my edges quite a bit but I didn't expect them to wear down that quickly based on other people's experiences I read online. My wheel setup is two big ones in the middle and smaller first and last.

You mean like these? The specs say that these are 85a, so shouldn't wear down so fast. But since you are on a rocker that probably puts more force on the pair you are riding on at a time.

Maybe try some 90a (watch out for sliding out, these will slide more easily) and compare?

Yes those ones. It wasn't just the middle two that were worn down - it was all four. A lot. I spend a good amount of time skating backwards and working on transitions.

I'll try some 90a if I can find the right size otherwise there are 89a available.

Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, but at any given time most of your weight is on two. First two, two in the middle or the two in the back
