Shit. Maybe it's just because .Hack//Sign was some of the first anime I ever watched (aside from Digimon and YuGiOh), but that shit blew my mind. I've rewatched it at least a couple of times.
Its a solid 7/10 by today's standards but in 2002 there wasn't a lot of competition in the isekai space so it really stood out. The entire soundtrack is amazing too, not just the op/ed
Agreed, it's one of my top favorite anime soundtracks to listen to. the world and key of the twilight still give me chills when I hear them after having not listened to them in a while. b.t. was also really pretty to listen to.
That entire soundtrack went way hard, it was fantastic.
