Oof, yeah I can't imagine paying for Friday and this is all you get. There weren't event any support races to watch beforehand.
I saw multiple people on the other website who had bought single day tickets since it was all they can afford, then saw 8 minutes of running cars, followed by hours in the cold, only to be kicked out before the second session even began.
F1 has to do refunds for Friday tickets at this point.
Wow, that's pretty bad. Yeah, they better refund them.
I imagine at least some of those people travelled and got hotel rooms too. They should have all of that cost compensated.
Reading comments elsewhere, they kicked all the spectators out!
They ran out of staff for the actual race since it was so late in the morning? Meant that they couldn't safely operate, so some fans paid for a seat and only got to see 8 mins of track time before being told to leave.
