Aussies are not allowed to work in any fixed electrical, communications, or plumbing installation (water/gas/sewage).
By the book not even allowed to run a network cable in a wall.
Running a pre terminated cable along the ground is fine.
Using an electrical extension cord also fine.
We're 230v (formerly 240v) nominal for electrical. Makes it a little more hazardous.
Most homes are single phase unlike split phases in the USA, though 3 phase also exists here... That's about 405v to 415v... Can get quite exciting.
That's totally fucked
