The atmosphere has stuff to do with gas. If the temperature was low enough though, would the gas fall down as liquid? (kbin.social)

This actually happens seasonally on Mars. It freezes out of the atmosphere because it's carbon dioxide there. Causes insane winds from the change in volume.

I believe that CO2 would be the first thing to fall out here as well, followed by nitrogen condensation, then oxygen.

Edit: that's not how Mars lost its atmosphere.
