The problem is that people who are transphobic and support these laws won't read articles like this; they aren't interested in having their beliefs challenged, they're just bigoted. They believe that men have some inherent, obvious quality making them men, and women have some inherent, obvious quality making them women, and they believe nothing can change that. It's baked so deeply into their worldview that I'm not sure some of them CAN chance their viewpoint without radically altering how they fundamentally see the world, which is both terrifying and really difficult to do.

I also don't like this article much; it seems to be aimed at people who already agree with its premise. It doesn't really cite very much, it seems to assume the reader is already familiar with the science behind gender transition. I already know these laws are ascientific, why do I need a whole article telling me that?
