Ever since I started playing TM last year, my favorite style has been FS, just because it's so easy to play in general, even on the harder tracks. But this track, Whisper of the Heart, kicked my butt. I've never seen a FS plastic track before and it behaves so differently that it just made it very hard to hit the turns correctly. Has anyone else played this map?

So... I just checked this one out and spent the last 45 minutes playing it which got me a 50.826. This map is by far the definition of "trust the mapper" if I've ever seen it. I love it and am probably going to hunt for the author time, it's only 2.3 seconds faster on a 50 second track. (Not a problem /s)

Admittedly I'm not the best player by a long shot. Typically Golds with only a couple of author times here and there. So take whatever I say with a grain of salt.

What I found helped with this was to completely trust the mapper,let the car go where it wants to and have your steering inputs only be suggestions. He really nicely marks apexes of corners and tubes with red. Also if it's not red on an inside edge you can probably skip a little of the corner.

What I ended up doing was switching over to controller and turning the steering sensitivity WAAAAAAAY down to 0.2. Even then I was just barely tapping on the analog stick to get tiny tiny turn inputs.
