From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

It probably means that you have enabled the "everything feed" in liftoff settings. This aggregates content from all instances apparently, even those not federated with yours.

Edit: weird cause you seem to be on sh.itjust.works which is federated with Lemmy.world.

No i double checked and everything feed in turned off. I cannot up vote or Comment from other instances on front page. It says i need to login there.

It is be because all feed includes Lemmy.world, Lemmy.ml and beehaw.org. That means there will be duplicate posts retrieved from other instances. If there is a Lemmy.world post they would see it 3 times: one from original Lemmy.world version, one from Lemmy.ml and one from sh.itjust.works. Bit can only comment on sh.itjust.works version because they are not logged into Lemmy.world or Lemmy.ml
