Not endorsing but putting in perspective, that symbol of domestic terrorism killed less people in 20 years than police in one day.

Just to be pedantic, it's fewer - not less. You use less for things that you can't count.

Yeah i know, it's one of those words in english i still have problems with.

That’s an asinine comparison. One person didn’t kill as many people as a larger group? You could state the same thing in many ways depending on the “point” you want to make.

The only asinine thing here is that US police killed killed at least 1176 people just in 2022, but somewhat is not considered the symbol if domestic terrorism.

And i won't even start about what US military do outside of US.

Yes, and while that is terrible it is a completely separate issue not related to the Unabomber. Unless the point you are trying to make is, that we should have let a convicted terrorist go until he killed at least as many people as the US police.

I think the point is that he's a "symbol" of domestic terror in a way that is disproportionate to his crimes and importance due to being pretty isolated, while death squads and terrorist organizations that act as extensions of the state are not regarded with the negativity they really merit.

Yeah it's that. He's being made into some icon of evil (i even heard that every now and then in Poland!) and he's a pretty small deal even compared to dozens of mass shooters which goes basically unnoticed and completely normalised. Not to mention to the "land of the free" ruling class enforcers.
