People are more hostile here than on Reddit. I barely participate anymore and any time I do my inbox gets filled with horrible responses. It's like the worst people from Reddit have decided to be here permanently.

I took a look through your comment history out of curiosity and it looks like you mostly hang around in news and politics communities. Those two topics will always be a cesspool regardless of where you are. It definitely was on Reddit also.

I'm not saying it's good or bad, but your diction also comes off as a bit confrontational which is going to invite those kinds of responses as well.
