Had a short stay in a Rome AirBnB that went wrong. And (surprise /s) AirBnB is not a fair mediator between the Host and me, the Client.
I want to look for outside help but googling/searching on the internet is flooded with Airbnb SEO results and grifter blogs.
Can anyone recommend me on how to look for help on this?
I imagine there are people in Rome willing to help me navigate this as I don't yet know what is the best curse on dealing my case.
In any case, so far what I've learned is that Airbnb and the likes are taking advantage of the caos of non-existing quality standards.
Unlike hotels where regulations and star ratings allow you to know what to expect from a short term accomodation deal.
Offers on such Airbnb sites will keep getting worst as the conscientious hosts have to compete with the unscrupulous. Beware. You will pay for your assumptions of fairness.
"It's never happened to me, so it's not a problem"
Yeah because Reddit and lemmy don't exaggerate lone but loud voices ๐คฃ
Your response doesn't even make logical sense, but then again you're dumb enough to defend airBNB.
