From Youtube: Carolina red slaw is tangy, sweet, spicy, and savory, with an irresistibly crispy, crunchy texture. It works perfectly as both a side dish, and a topping for things like pulled pork, burgers, and hot dogs. Plus, this is mayo-free, which means it can safely sit out on a hot picnic table. Enjoy!

I'm from NC and I gotta say I prefer our red slaw over white mayo-based slaws.

Also one of my favorite slaws I have had was a spicy slaw that had a mustard based dressing.

That sounds delicious. There are VERY few foods I'm picky about. I love cabbage, I love mayo, I can handle bland, but when you put them together, it just tastes like sadness to me. Super lightly dressed mayo slaw is ok, but I love it when you sucker-punch me with flavor in a dish.
