Lack of QoL features is a common complaint about the game, and by now many of us are veterans who have been playing for years and want to avoid facing the same inconveniences each new league. What steps do y'all take in terms of build choice and playstyle to have a smooth experience despite Chris' stubborn anti-QoL stance?

  • Do you always stick to builds that can do any and all map mods, so you don't even have to read map descriptions?
  • Do you consider self-recharging flasks (Pathfinder, Ascendant, some exotic sources) a must-have?
  • To what degree do you automate flasks with Instilling Orbs? How many manually-managed flasks is too much?
  • How many braindead instant-cast buffs like Arcane Cloak is too much? Do you use left mouse to move while also casting such a buff, or do you prefer to keyboard movement regardless?
  • How much build DPS are you willing to sacrifice for QoL?
  • Is there any particular content that is lucrative but skipped by you because of its poor QoL?

Share your thoughts, and your tips for comfortable gameplay when returning for yet another league!

This is the first league I've ever put a substantial amount of time into. I started with chronic_painless' cold conversion blade vortex build and it served me well all the way through endgame. However outside of movement abilities the build doesn't really have many buttons to press besides casting blade vortex every couple of seconds. When I made my lightning arrow deadeye I followed a guide that opted to make use of quite a few buttons and I actually enjoyed it a lot more. I think I've found that having the option of a chill auto bomber style character is nice when you're looking to turn your brain off, but having buttons to press like guard skills can feel very rewarding to play.
