Not sure but I will be staying on a federated reddit-like site. I'm more leaning towards this over kbin though.

Will I ever go back to Reddit? Even if hell freezes, no.

I haven't explored anything in the fediverse other than lemmy yet. May I ask what the differences are? Why might yiu choose kbin over lemmy? Can you explain how the two play together?

Well the fediverse are basically protocols that are designed for instance to talk to one another.

Both Kbin and Lemmy uses the ActivityPub protocol and inturn both Kbin and Lemmy instances can talk to one another.

I know a couple of friends that prefers Kbin's UI over Lemmy. On the other hand, I prefer the opposite. Then again I am not sure since a better one might appear. Or maybe a better client for Lemmy will appear.
