This is a place to motivate each other to control or stop drinking. It is also a place for non drinkers to discuss and share.
We welcome anyone who wishes to join in by asking for advice, sharing our experiences and stories, or just encouraging someone who is trying to quit or cut down.

I will not be drinking today. Officially 2 months today since my last drink. Some days are harder than others, but overall drinking at night as I used to do is starting to become a past memory. Except when watching a show or movie and someone is drinking, that gives me a little urge to drink. But not a strong one that I have problems to dismiss, just an used to feel good while drinking feeling . Once I reminded myself how bad I used to feel the next day after drinking, the urge just disappeared. It feels good to wake up in the morning without the fear of what I said, texted the night before, and of course no headache. My energy went up about 2 to 3 weeks after I stopped drinking, but now I’m back to being tired again, hopefully I’ll get it back up again. Good luck everyone in your journey.
