Sad to see the creator doing poorly since it's actually an original film. Wish people were more interested in new IP. I guess I can't gripe too much since I can't even remember the last time I went to see a movie in theatre...

Gonna blame its marketing, because this is totally up my alley but it's one of maybe three films in this list I've never heard of.

I watch a decent amount of football (only ads I ever see) and I've seen multiple ads for it. Maybe their marketing budget was allocated poorly. I think "scifi nerds" are hard to market to because we use adblockers.

Yeah the ads I saw during football were really vague, and with the title, I just assumed it was some Jesus movie like Left Behind or something. Guess I’ll check it out

It's a new IP but all the reviews I saw, from sci-fi fans and otherwise, emphasized how unoriginal and generic the plot points were. All style and no substance, and I think moviegoers and especially fans of the genre are more than a little hungry for substance in their sci-fi.

I look at it kind of like all the people screaming to vote for Hilary/Biden at real left wingers. It's the best we've got so try and support it if you can. I'm sick of all the shit tier superhero movies topping the box office...

Went to see it last weekend because I love this kind of sci-fi. I thought it was great! 👍
