Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Just a note for people using the latest, this version has issues on most instances, so expect the following:
Other than that, from my testing, older instances mostly work. Do note that the popup is there every time you open the app, and that's intentional so you know when your instance gets upgraded. So, once the 0.18 version goes live, pester your admins to upgrade. At the moment, Jerboa only supports the most recent version of lemmy, and it will likely get the most testing on the latest version as well.
If you have issues, try to replicate it on lemmy.ml on the Jerboa 0.0.35 before submitting an issue. If you don't have an account there, please hold off on submitting issues until you can confirm they no longer exist on 0.0.35. There are a lot of fixes and new features, so it's best to avoid the noise on GitHub issues for those.
I'm a dev and can easily run the latest version to test any issues you may have, so feel free to mention me and I'm happy to see if the issue persists on the latest version. I can't promise anything, but I'll do what I can. I'm also going to be monitoring this community for the next few days as servers get upgraded and respond to as many as I can.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new version! A lot of cool new features are in development, and there is talk about some improvements to the release process to help crowd-source testing (i.e. maybe nightly builds?) and smooth out the user experience.
When you say mark as read you mean by open the post or voting, or is there another way to mark as read?
