Violent Femmes have announced a new 40th anniversary reissue of their 1983 self-titled debut featuring more than a dozen demos, B-sides, and live performances. They’ve also shared the a version of “Gone Daddy Gone / I Just Want to Make Love to You” that was recorded in January 1983 at Folk City in New York. Previously unavailable in digital formats, the recording includes a verse from Willie Dixon’s 1954 song “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” originally recorded by Muddy Waters. Check out the single and the full tracklist for the digital edition of the reissue below.
